Community Forum: Racial Equity and Policing

January 25 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

The Charleston Area Justice Ministry (CAJM), Citizen Police Advisory Committee (CPAC), Human Affairs and Racial Conciliation Commission (HARCC), YWCA Greater Charleston, are excited to unveil a collaborative event designed to amplify your impact during Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Week.

On January 25, 2024, from 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm at the St. Patrick Parish Center (127 St. Philip St, Charleston, SC 29403 USA), will be the Community Forum and Research Presentation focused on the External Review and Assessment (ERA) of the 2019 Racial Bias Audit. The presentation will provide a holistic view of data, findings, and recommendations. We welcome input from Charleston residents, community leaders, and those passionate about the intersection of public safety and race in the city.

There will be small group discussions and results reporting will allow community members to provide feedback and voice any concerns they may have. We invite your voice, insights, and feedback to make a lasting impact on crucial topics like racial disparities analysis, community engagement, and fidelity assessment of the CPD’s response to the 2019 Racial Bias Audit.
