Our first organization-wide event of each year’s justice cycle. At this event, hundreds of Charleston-area community members gather to hear personal stories, reaffirm their commitment to doing justice, and vote on our focus for the coming year.

Kickoff of our comprehensive research process, which includes face-to-face meetings with state & local officials as well as professionals in related fields to learn more about the selected problem and research-based, best practice solutions.

The Gadsden Creek surrounding communities are being threatened now more than ever. A historically Black area, where homeownership once thrived and businesses boomed, now rests in a flood-prone landscape where its last tidal creek is being threatened to be filled by developers. This is will exacerbate flooding. Attend this upcoming event to heart from scientists, a hydrologist, educators and experts about how to save and restore this community.
